Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup milk of choice (or water)
- 1 egg
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Maple syrup (optional)
- Oatmeal toppings of choice
Combine oats and milk on the stove. Gradually whisk in the egg. Add cinnamon, vanilla extract and maple syrup. Continue whisking until oatmeal boils, then reduce to simmer. Stir until thickened – about 5 minutes.
Pour into bowl and mix in desired toppings (nut butter, cereals, granolas, etc).
