Hello hello! My name is Taylor and I’m a 25 year-old nutrition graduate from Cal Poly SLO! I try to live my life to the fullest and love to eat, live, and be healthy! I have a mad passion for running and for food/nutrition in general.
After becoming interested in other people’s blogs, I wanted to start to blog about my food, exercise, and life in general!
I want to demonstrate my balance for working different jobs with, eating, running, sleeping and fun – all while living on a budget. It will be a challenge – but that’s what life is about!
My history in a nutshell:
I’ve always been interested in being healthy and swam on a swim team my whole life. I went up and down in weight throughout my teen years. Freshman year of college, I finally got completely motivated and stuck with it. I began running in early 2006 for general fitness as part of a weight loss plan in which I lost over 60 lbs. During this health journey, I decided to change my major from history to nutrition. One evening, I randomly decided to embark on a 10 mile run, and since then my passion for distance grew! I eventually decided I was crazy enough to train for my first marathon (SF Nike Marathon) in October 2007. I just love to run long!
In April 2009, I became sidelined with a knee injury (in the middle of training for the SD rock & roll marathon) and learned a lot through dealing with the physical and emotional stress that came along with it. I know now NOT to take running for granted and don’t push yourself too hard! I eventually started incorporating running back into my life (with lots of ice, foam rolling and care!). Multiple injuries have sprung my way since then, and I’m still trying to figure it all out. Join me while I try and get back to my true passion of fitness and running!
Things I love:
Pink & Orange! Peanut Butter. Swimming. RUNNING. Eating. Marathons & half marathons. Reading. Baseball (Go Giants!). FOOD. Swimming in the ocean. Photography. Shopping. Spending hours browsing grocery stores. Scrapbooking. Frozen Yogurt. Tae bo. Taking pictures. Cinnamon. COFFEE. Browsing & looking at recipes pretending like I’ll make everything. Polar bears. COSTCO. Sitting by the fire in front of the Christmas tree reading. CHRISTMAS. Christmas music. Dancing. Hot Chocolate. My Family. Blueberries ( 🙂 for you Marie!)
Live, laugh, and love life!! 😀
