Well, seeing as how it is November February…

IMG 6554

Apparently my local store is a few months behind the times. But at least I finally found the sought after pumpkin pie yogurt!!

You know what my breakfast was this morning πŸ˜‰

IMG 6594

  • Stonyfield pumpkin yogurt
  • Kashi Go Lean cereal
  • Quaker oatmeal squares
  • Pumpkin butter
  • Naturally More peanut butter

IMG 6595

But alas. Disappointed I was. It was too sweet and I’m just too darn used to the thick stuff (that’s what she said?). I like my homemade pumpkin yogurt better πŸ™‚

More in the February spirit – Momma Tay Tay sent me a package of lurve.

IMG 6596

Some heart shaped cookies, Lindt candies, and the mug I wanted from Starbies!! ❀ you mommy!!

Disclaimer: Contrary to my roommates and family members giving me a hard time about wanting yet another mug, I have already used this beauty 3 times in the past day. Thank you very much.

It was 4:30, I was hungry, and this girl’s sugar cravings were kicking into high gear. Of course I dug right in.

IMG 6597

But let’s rewind to lunch.

If that’s not an appetizing plastic container of food, I don’t know what is.

IMG 0586-1

Guilty as charged of enjoying a lean cuisine. Lemon chicken to be more specific. I haven’t had a lean cuisine in years. But you know what? A college girl isn’t turning down the 4 for $5 package at Costco. And at least it’s one of their “spa meals.” AKA – healthier and whole grains?

I’m not gonna lie when I say it was actually kind of tasty.

Aaaaaaand then starving 2 hours later (naturally). Raided the fridge upon entering the kitchen and many eats when unpictured. But I did enjoy carrots in some new yogurt dip!

IMG 6600

Garlic ranch, cheddar jalapeno, and cilantro jalapeno flavors.

Found at Costco.

Determined to be quite tasty.

IMG 6601-1

Also, one of the unpictured eats was kabocha squash dipped in guacamole.

Advice: that combo was amazing.

Oh and some pistachies.

IMG 6603

Which just caused a rando thought to pop in my head. Has anyone tried pistachio nut butter? Yes, no, maybe so? Thoughts?

I kind of overdid it at snacky time and kept dinner light. Eggs + some more guac I whipped up.

IMG 6602

IMG 6605-1

And roasted broc.

Old picture, but honestly? The broc really didn’t look much different. Still green. Still roasted. And still yum.

IMG 6478

With a lindt

IMG 6604

And a few bites of this to round out the night.

IMG 6574

I’m honestly not all too impressed with this flavor. I love other coconut milk ice cream flavors, but this one is just too…well, minty. I know, I know, hence the name mint chip. But there was none of that rich coconut taste. And can you tell me, where are all the ‘chips’?

IMG 6576-1

And remember, tomorrow is $1 Jamba oatmeal day!!

You’ll know where to find me in the morning πŸ˜‰

Great Wall of PB

How were everyone’s superbowl celebrations?

My day started inspired by 2 of my favorite bloggies.

Yoatgurt! If she weren’t tanning her way through Jamaica right now, Janetha would be proud πŸ™‚

Coffee oats + cinnamon greek yogurt.

IMG 6582

With the “Great Wall of PB” modeled after Paige. And two blobs of chocolate almond butter on either end.

How did those little chocolate delights get on there? πŸ˜‰

IMG 6584

After getting some essay writing done, I got busy in le kitchen!

IMG 6585

Guac-a-mole!!

IMG 6586

In the mix:

  • 4 avocados
  • Couple spoonfuls of salsa
  • 2 spoonfuls sour cream
  • Garlic
  • Salt & pepper
  • Lime & lemon juice
  • Dash of paprika

Made a huge batch, and I even had 4 extra avocados (they were 2/$1 at Vons this week so I obviously went a little avo-crazy).

IMG 6588

We also supplied salsa.

IMG 6587

And chips.

IMG 6589

Although once we arrived to the party, there were about 5 other bags of chips, 2 other bowls of salsa, and another thing of guac. Ha. Whoops!

There was a ton of food and I forgot my camera. Yes. Fail. But I had a good amount of chips & guac (my homemade stuff was better πŸ˜‰

4 BBQ chicken legs (amazing!! Delicious! Finger lickin good.)

barbeque-chicken

Source

And 1 1/2 of these.

bottom-label

Which only succeeded in making me tired. haha.

But….CONGRATS SAINTS!! They deserved it πŸ™‚

I obviously wasn’t very hungry for dinner, but got a bit snacky around 9:00. So I cooked up an apple & frozen blueberries with cinnamon in the microwave. Topped with a blog of yogurt and granola.

And then went down for another bowl of ice cream – Dreyer’s slow churned Samoas flavor. With a small scoop of coconut milk’s mint chip.

IMG 6592-1

Off to get some ab work in.

And I also just received an email that my Clinical Nutrition teacher had her baby boy this weekend :-D. Congrats to her!! And that lab is canceled today. So that means I’ll probably hit up the library after my 12-2:00 class.

Have a great Monday!

Unforunately, I have yet to get the gingerbread house pictures from the other night, so you’ll have to wait and see the final product. Let’s just say, it ended up a bit of a disaster πŸ˜‰

I’ve been living on a sugar high these past few days. In addition to this candy filled night, I’ve also been picking at pieces of our house throughout the weekend (aka lots of candy & frosting), and enjoyed this breakfast Saturday morning.

Vans whole wheat waffles topped with sunbutter, cream cheese, syrup & granola (love crunch on my waffles). Scrambled egg whites + 1 egg & ketchup (necessity).

IMG 0469

But wait – my roommate & her boyfriend came home with donuts to share! I never have donuts (just don’t ever get the opportunity!), so I cut a few small bites of the cinnamon roll, glazed one, and bear claw – but honestly they were extremely dry and blah.

IMG 0470-1

But this cinnamon roll they made was quite the opposite! Helped myself to half of one πŸ™‚

IMG 0472-1

Fueld my gym trip quite nicely where I completed

  • 4 mile dreadmill run ranging from 6 – 7.5 mph. Not so much intervals, just decided to take it realitvely easy and watch Fool’s Gold on TV
  • 25 minutes upper body weights

After this, I felt a bit too lazy for whittling my middle. Whoops!

Unpictured eats throughout the day, then chowed down my salad for dinner in 5 minutes pre-work.

Rando mix of:

  • Scrambled eggs
  • 2 buffalo chicken meatballs
  • Zucchini
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Spinach hommus
  • Salsa
  • Annie’s raspberry dressing
  • Spinach

IMG 0473-1

But it worked!

Work included trail mix (with M&M’s of course).

Today I knew I needed to finally get down to some studying.

First up – breakkie.

  • A bit of Voskos plain yogurt (review coming soon)
  • Blueberry Oikos (almost a full container)
  • Kashi Heart to Heart
  • Nature’s Path mesa sunrise
  • TJ’s pumpkin granola
  • Banana slices
  • Sunbutter & pumpkin butter

IMG 0474

Yumma! That TJ’s pumpkin granola is sooooo good guys. I’m picky with my granolas, but this stuff is the perfect granola taste to me πŸ™‚ Just have to take it easy, since it’s pretty sweet and I know granola’s pretty high in sugar!

Next up – gym. Yeah, so the gym didn’t happen. As I tweeted about, there was no motivation whatsoever. Even though I should take advantage of free parking on campus (weekend!) and maybe take a weekday off of the gym. Didn’t happen.

I’m pretty sure my butt is imprinted into this couch permanently. I tried to study, I really did! But this take home final is going to take me 4x as long as a normal final…and I just gave up! Resorted to watching Falalala Lifetime instead πŸ˜‰

Mid-afternoon, I did get a bit cold hungry and decided on hot butternut squash oatmeal.

Topped with:

  • A different mix of cereals
  • Frosting covered graham crackers (from our house!)
  • Pumpkin cream cheese
  • Sunbutter

IMG 0476-1

Warmed me right up!

I eventually gave up with my take home final, and turned to ice cream. Which kind of defeats the purpose of hot oats. But it’s great distraction, let me tell you.

I’ll admit it – I went ice cream crazy. Ice cream is my biggest weakness. Some people have no control over certain foods, and for me it’s ice cream. So times this bowl by 2 4. In all fairness, it’s a baby bowl. And it ended up being part of my dinner.

IMG 0478-1

Due to late oats, and the ice cream extravaganza, I never really got hungry, but I knew I needed something more satisfying around 8:30. A light egg & veggie scramble dinner did the trick.

  • Zucchini
  • Onion
  • Mushroom
  • Spinach
  • 1 egg + 3 egg whites
  • Nutritional yeast

IMG 0480

Wait…

IMG 0481

Oh, better πŸ™‚

An unpictured cookie sneaked in there tonight as well. Picture/review tomorrow.

Until tomorrow friends.

Sugar coma….zzzzzz….

We all know it’s the first day of December! I was going to start out by singing the “Twelve Days of Christmas”, but I’m pretty sure the 12 days are the days directly prior to Christmas, correct? Or the days after Christmas?

While at home this past week, I got to head to Whole Foods and stock up on some Voskos greek yogurt! I haven’t been able to find a large selection here at school, so I was excited to try out more of this brand.

IMG 0433-1

Breakfast included almost this whole container, Kashi Heart to Heart, Banana bomb muffin with sunbutter, and some pumpkin butter.

IMG 0434-1

This yogurt was pretty good, but right away I noticed it was much more watery than other brands. I noticed that with the honey flavor as well, althought I still loved the honey.

This fueled my gym sesh of 3.75 miles on the dreadmill and 10-minute whittle my middle plank style:

  • 3 minute front plank (on elbows)
  • 2 x 15 reps of twisting side planks straight arms (1 on each side)
  • 2 x 1-minute side planks (on elbows, 1 on each side)
  • 2 x 90 second straight arm blanks on bosu ball (1 slight rolling from side to side)
  • 2 minute front plank

Phew!

On Tuesdays, I park my car in a parking lot (conveniently located next to the froyo shop)and walk to campus. Today I was hungry, and massively craving froyo afterwards. No matter what I eat beforehand, I’m always starving after workouts, and crave sweets.

I gave in today.

Planned to get a teensy amount, but once I saw that they had cake batter flavor, all good intentions went out the window. Also picture some pre-photo eaten cookie dough on top.

Needless to say, this killed my appetite for lunch, and I ended up snacking all afternoon.

Coffee to warm my bones + some necessary reading they had at work.

IMG 0437

Handfulls of frosting vanilla cinnamon pecans. (no joke tasted like frosting)

IMG 0438-1

Please note that my hands are not actually that gross/dry looking. Just the grainyness of my phone camera in bad lighting.

Some unpictured veggie soup. Carrots. And spoonfuls of cottage cheese.

Dinner was eaten in the car on the drive after work since I got off a bit early. But too hungry to wait for home. So sorry for the bad car lighting.

Sunday’s burrito was buy one, get a kids meal free. So I edited a kids burrito to my liking πŸ˜‰ Chicken, brown rice, black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo in a WW tortilla.

IMG 0443-1

Delicious.

Snacks of the night included an apple.

Popcorn

IMG 0445-1

Pumpkin ice cream (I really just wanted to use my new bowl!)

IMG 0444-1

And hot chocolate x2

IMG 0446-1

So how’s that back on the wagon clean-eating coming along, eh? πŸ˜‰

I’m also so glad that I got tons not one second of studying done today. Instead I had the Victoria’s Secret fashion show on in the background and occasionally looked up to gape at their thighs smaller than my arm, or the fact that Heidi Klum thinks she still needs to lose 25 pounds. Really?

Camera update: For those of you who hadn’t heard, my poor camera is no more. I scoured the Black Friday ads for good camera deals, and saw a few, but nothing really stood out to me. The camera I decided I wanted wasn’t much cheaper at Fry’s than on Amazon, and with Amazon I save tax money. So I think I’ll be ordering one soon, or perhaps waiting until Christmas? Which I rrrreally don’t want to do. I don’t think I can last another 4 weeks!

RIP Celeste

So we have a problem.

1. My camera broke. Yup. Dropped it last night and now the lens is stuck halfway open and won’t budge.

2. I had pictures of my Saturday eats pre-camera dropping, but I left the memory card on my desk at school. And I’m now home.

So….that’s that. I’m sorry guys! What a slacker blogger I am! And I can’t tell you how upset I am about my camera. Here’s the picture my roommate captured post-dropping to prove it.

CIMG0642-1

In the midst of crying right there as I cradle my baby and try to fiddle with the lens. No joke. Also please ignore the couple behind us getting mighty close back there.

I’ll probably head out to get a new camera sometime this week, but please bear with me while I go through this mourning period! Celeste (my camera’s name) gave me a good 4 years. She will be missed.

To entertain you all for the moment, here are some pictures from our night out Saturday night.

My roommates got new boots that day, so we went out with ourΒ boots on.

CIMG0617-1

But then I changed into my red high heels.

IMG 6185

(Yes – we took a picture for both shoes. Shush)

Took a few drinky drankies.

CIMG0621-1

And just danced away. Please note that this is not our normal dance routine. Β We were completely mimicking our friend’s hilarious dance move here.

CIMG0630

It was definitely a good night.

Then today (Sunday), I packed up, and hit the road home for Thanksgiving break. All of my classes were canceled on Monday and Tuesday πŸ™‚

I’ve also heard so much about this pumpkin pie Blizzard at Dairy Queen lately. I knew there was one on my 3 1/2 hour drive home, so I planned to get one the trip. Unfortunately, they said they stopped selling them last month! What? Last time I checked, November definitely = pumpkin pie month. Bummed out, I settled for a Tagalong blizzard.

(Phone picture)

IMG 0399

This was my first blizzard, and I have to say I was a little dissapointed. I actually only ate about 1/4-1/3 of it. It tasted bland, if that’s even at all possible? It needed fudge or peanut butter ripples throughout! πŸ˜‰

For those of you who have enjoyed Blizzards, what’s your favorite flavor that you recommend to a newbie for next time?

In home news – it was nice to come home to BBQ chicken (which I ate 2 full breasts of for dinner. Yes – it’s my favorite) and a working washing machine. Ahh the life πŸ˜‰

Are you participating in Vegan for a Week or Vegan for a Day?

In preparation of tomorrow’s Vegan for a Day, I made sure to incorporate dairy into all my meals today!

veganweek (1)

Yogurt in my overnight oats.

IMG 6114-1

Also topped with Quaker oatmeal squares & Udi’s granola.

IMG 6118-1

Milk in my post-gym cafe soy misto with 2 pumps pumpkin spice (which I was disappointed didn’t have foam. Soy mistos are just coffee and milk?)

Unpictured cocoa almonds & Element bar mid-class (but that’s okay, since no dairy was involved).

Oikos yogurt + blueberry preserves (delicious combo) and Kashi Heart 2 Heart.

IMG 6127

And a small bit of chinese chicken salad (okay no dairy in this one).

IMG 6125

Milk chocolate in 1/2 of this cookie

IMG 6129-1

Garlic cream cheese in my grilled avocado, cream cheese, & pear sandwich.

IMG 6134-1

Along with a side of green beans (yes – I love ketchup on my veggies).

IMG 6131-2

Ice cream in my 2 bowls worth of pumpkin ice cream (as I went through almost 1/2 the carton. Pumpkin ice cream is not safe around me! My sister said I’m going to cause a world shortage of pumpkin.)

IMG 5983

Few! Talk about carbo dairy loading πŸ™‚

I also thoroughly enjoyed my night of laughing and Glee watching. My roommate is dying to somehow tell Finn there’s no way he got Quinn pregnant. Hilarious. Β Love that show.

See you maΓ±anaΒ πŸ™‚

Peep peep!

I feel like it’s Sunday. But that’s probably because the roommates and I partied it up last night at Tuesday’s Pint Night, and lounged around the house today. Thank you Veterans πŸ™‚ But seriously, thank you to all of you out there that do what you do. And to their families, loved ones, and friends. Much appreciated.

Yay for the CMAs!! Anyone else enjoying it?

Crunchy yogurt.

IMG 6002

Combo of cereals (Kashi Golean, Heart2Heart, Quaker Oatmeal squares), banana, and crumbed pumpkin scone.

IMG 6001-1

Light lunch/heavy snack. Whatever you prefer.

IMG 6003-1

Mmmmm. Veggies Ketchup.

IMG 6005-1

I then proceeded to the blood bank to…well…give blood obviously. Where I snacked on some unpictured chex mix.

I then rushed home, wolfed down anΒ english muffin pizza, and got ready for the roommates first time out all together!

Awesome night out.

4/5 of us

IMG 6010-1

All together now πŸ™‚

CIMG0583-1

IMG 6012-1

Uh oh…bad sign? It was 2 for 1 night! πŸ˜‰

CIMG0588

It was a good and fun night πŸ™‚ Except for the fact that the cranberry drink ended up all down my shirt. Fail. It’s soaking right now. Anyone have good stain removing tips from a white shirt?

I really didn’t feel too hot today, and therefore didn’t eat much. I sure made up for it at night though.

Dinner of leftover maple quinoa with chicken meatballs.

IMG 6019-1

Served over lettuce.

IMG 6021-1

Immediately after dinner I went straight for the ice cream. I normally don’t eat dessert at 6:00 pm, but whatever. It works!

IMG 6022-1

And then immediately headed back to polish off the container.

IMG 6024-1

Along with a couple of these lovelies.

IMG 6026

And now I am enjoying a date night with my country music awards show. We’re pretty exclusive πŸ˜‰

Oh and a nice big bowl of air-popped popcorn + olive oil + garlic salt.

IMG 6029-1

How did this little guy sneak in there? x2

IMG 6028-1

But honestly the combo was killer.

Wow, I’ve had quite the sweets tonight. Mehh. Oh well.

Okay, back to oogling over Keith blasting his vocals πŸ™‚

Want to know what goes down during a night of tossing and turning? I finally got out of bed at 3:30 am with a raw sore throat and no voice. Obviously something delicious, creamy, and cold would make it feel so much better.

IMG 5983

And a mug of cereal (chocolate mini wheats + PB granola to be exact) x2.

As much as I love my pumpkin ice cream, I’ve gone through half a carton in the past few days. I think I need to cut back.

After chatting with my sister on facebook (apparently our family has sleep issues), I finally got to sleep at 4:15 and slept until 6:30. Yay for 2 hours of sleep! Luckily I prepared my breakfast the night before in a to-go Oikos container.

IMG 5986

Apple Pie overnight oats!

Night before combined:

  • 1/4 c. muesli + 1/2 cup soymilk
  • 1 scoop yogurt
  • 1/2 mashed banana, cinnamon, maple syrup
  • 1 T chia seeds

This morning topped with:

  • 1 microwaved cinnamon apple
  • Granola + Quaker maple oatmeal squares
  • Cream cheese

IMG 5984

Mmmm look at those ooey gooey apples.

IMG 5987

I amazingly had enough energy for a quick gym sesh in between classes to fit in 30 minutes stairmaster level 10. Then I hurried to pick up lunch. Does this look familiar?

IMG 0373

That might be because that’s the same picture as last time. But the salad today was the exact same. Okay, that’s a lie. There were no bell peppers or corn this time. Mushrooms + beets + olives + turkey + tofu + kidney beans + feta cheese + craisins + slivered almonds + jicama. Wow.

My energy slump hit at noon and I could barely make it through my 12-2:00 class. Torture. Pure torture. A delicious snackie helped.

Strained yogurt with a Deep Chocolate vitamuffin & sunbutter.

IMG 5992

Decadent. I actually liked this flavor a lot. Very rich.

I’ve been straining a lot of my own yogurt lately, this time using Mountain High yogurt.

IMG 5990

Out of the three brands I’ve strained so far, I’ve found this brand and Trader Joe’s organic to be the best. They strain out the most liquid.

IMG 5988-1

And make the creamiest yogurts.

IMG 5989-1

Emily from The Experimentarian recently asked me about the concetration of the yogurt in regards to protein, calorie & carbohydrate amounts. After doing a bit of research, I’m pretty sure that when you strain the yogurt, you’re straining the whey out of the yogurt. The whey is also what contains most of the carbohydrates in yogurt. Therefore, after straining, you end up with a more concentrated amount of yogurt with less whey (carbohydrates), but more protein. So in essence 1 cup unstrained yogurt has the same amount of calories as strained yogurt, but unstrained has more carbohydrates while the strained has more protein.

Does that make sense? If anyone has any other answer, please…let me know!

Needless to say, I was kind of upset glad when my boss emailed me saying the little girl I nanny on Mondays was sick today. So I thoroughly enjoyed a complete lazy afternoon with Ellen, Oprah & more Ellen, and hanging out with muh peeps (aka Friends).

An unpictured mini crunch bar was sitting on the couch staring me down and I couldn’t resist.

Dinner incorporated my new Buffalo style chicken meatballs.

IMG 5997

  • Tons of veggies (literally almost a whole bag of frozen)
  • 5 meatballs
  • Carmelized onion & garlic tomato pasta sauce
  • Plethora of cheeses – feta, cheddar & parmesan

These meatballs are delicious! I love them.

IMG 5995

With Mary’s crackers (x2)

IMG 5998

And a handful of these to satistfy my post-dinner sweet tooth.

IMG 5953

Wow – I love these chips. However, they really just taste like the Sweet Potato flavor with the tiniest ittiest bit of chocolate taste at the end. Β I would never guess “Chocolate” if I didn’t know they came out of this bag.

6 servings in this bag? Are you kidding me? The bag was only 1/4 full!

IMG 5952

May I also just comment that my roommate and I had the pure genius idea to put peeps on her baked sweet potato? Umm…yes please!!

In my nightly hot chocolate tonight, I used a new packet of NuNaturals stevia rather than my usual splenda or agave syrup. One thing was for certain – it was waaaay sweeter.

IMG 5899

And just to rub it in everyone’s face – tonight is kind of a “Friday” for me. I have no classes Tuesday, and my work was canceled (bummed because I need money). And we have Wednesday off for Veteran’s Day. Sorry to brag πŸ˜€ But I hope everyone else had a great Monday evening!

Hello my lovely bloggies – I hope your weekend is going fab!

I’m trying to keep up with blog reading, commenting, and posting, but it’s hard while home. I’m trying πŸ™‚

The concert last night wasΒ amazing. I thought of you all jealous folk πŸ˜‰ andΒ Jenny, I specificallyΒ did think of you during “Life is a Highway”.

Before the concert, we literallyΒ wolfed down some Fresh Choice. My sister and I have been on a mission to go to Fresh Choice for months (it’s an old family tradition type of place), and I really wanted to go this month, figuring that they’d have delicious seasonal pumpkin flavored foods.

Well, there was 100x more traffic than we anticipated, and we ended up with 15 minutes to stand in line, get food, and eat. I piled my salad plates (yes, you read that right. Plural) sky high. I wanted to tryΒ everything!

Apparently they serve 79.77% organic. Not 80%. Not 79%. But 79.77%. Make sure you get that right.

IMG 0281-1

(awful blurry, hurriedly taken in line photos)

Roasted beet salad + jicama + feta cheese + sunflower seeds.

IMG 0283-1

I only ate some of the hummus, mushrooms, taboulleh, and a bite of the broccoli salad on this plate

IMG 0282-1

And no – I did not eat all this. I only got so much because I saw more and more I wanted as I made my way down the salad line. I probably ate less than 1/4 of each plate. Plus 1 small slice of pesto pizza. 1 small slice of zucchini nut bread. And a mini vanilla froyo bowl with oreos and chocolate sauce.

And no seasonal foods. None. How disappointing!

Unfortunately, my camera died before Rascals even came on stage (yes – I fail at life). But I did get a picture of Darius Rucker! (opening act) Love him – so glad he was opening.

IMG 5743-1

Ahh love him so much – I think he’s such a cutie πŸ˜‰ I love the little “dance” he does while singing.

Then Rascies came out to blow us all away. The main singer just has the strongest voice – he belts it out and it’s amazing. As much as I loved the concert, they have so many hit songs, that they didn’t even get to play a couple of my favorites.

I tried to get a pic with my phone.

IMG 0284

Those are some little Rascals.

Sisters before heading out.

IMG 5734-1

At the concert.

IMG 5736-1

IMG 5737-1

And that’s the extent of photos I got 😦

Dead camera + charger left at school = various food pics taken with the phone all weekend.

Lunch thrown together after my drive home yesterday.

Black beans (found in the fridge – since when did my fam start eating black beans?! Apparently since my sister accidentally opened the can thinking they were pinto). Mixed with delicious salsa, sour cream & random turkey. With a handful of Kashi Roasted Vegetable crackers.

IMG 0279-1

The crackers wereΒ very disappointing. I actually didn’t like this flavor at all. I still want to try the asiago cheese flavor, though.

This morning I found some Ezekiel cinnamon-raisin english muffins I saved in the freezer from the summer! Topped with some sunbutter (brought from school) and my belovedΒ Tay-berry jam πŸ™‚

IMG 0285-1

And then not long after, the whole fam met up at Yogurtland.

Pumpkin & S’mores flavors (weird combo – but the S’mores was actually delicious!) topped with cookie dough, mochi balls, oreo crumbs, and a bit of caramel sauce.

IMG 0287-1

This thing wasΒ massive and literally kept me full for over 4 hours. So full that I wasn’t too hungry for a dinner.

I like how I come home for a “home-cooked meal”, and yet I still end up with yogurt messes πŸ™‚

  • Vanilla light n’ fit yogurt (all there was in the fridge)
  • Spoonful of cottage cheese
  • Blackberries
  • Container of raspberries
  • Bear Naked Banana Nut cereal sample (my dad receieved one in the mail!)
  • Teeny bit of sunbutter leftover from this morn

IMG 0290-1

The cereal wasΒ delicious! I’m glad that I have another sample for the future πŸ™‚

Spending the night hanging with the sisters watching TV (this week’s episode of Glee – gotta love Tivo), some SNL, and snacking on this:

IMG 0291-1

which I added salted raisins to (best idea ever). And this, which I bought while home last time:

IMG 0292-1

Ooooh yes. I did have a giant loaded froyo and ice cream today. πŸ˜‰

Tomorrow’s agenda includes sister’s gymnastics competition, and my two favorite loves while I’m home – Target & Whole Foods. Get excited guys.

On another note, I love my little sister.

IMG 0289

She was walking around in this hot little number, I told her to pose, and this is what she whipped out.

Classy.

I haven’t been as hungry as I was today in….well a while.

Breakfast was the last of my frozen oatmeal pumpkin pancakes.

IMG 5699-1

With Greek yogurt & sunbutter layered between each. And all topped with syup.

IMG 5700-1

Nommmmmm. Guys – sooo good. These are the best pancakes I’ve ever made. And the yogurt in each layer just adds so much.

IMG 5701-1

With a bowl of fruit + yogurt. Honeydew, 1/2 a peach, 1/2 a banana.

IMG 5697

Although I was crazy late for the bus, so after a few bites, stuck this baby in the fridge for later.

Clinical Nutrition lab midterm was ehh. We had 2 patients to evaluate and interpret their blood lab values. Then had to determine the type of anemia and write up SOAP notes (page long subjectie, objective, assessments, and plans). I knew 1 patient well enough, but got stuck on the other diagnosis. We shall see.

I was starving halfway through the test, so I kind of just wanted to be done with it so I could eat. This:

What I thought was a PB&J lara.

IMG 5702

Bite.

“Man, this PB&J has cherry overload.”

Bite.

“Dang, weird how different bars of the same flavor can taste so different.”

Bite.

“Okay, this is one tart baby.”

Oh. Surprise!

So that’s why there was so much cherry flavor. Β You tricky Lara, you. Β Being in such similar wrappers.

Didn’t sweat nearly as much at the gym today. Must’ve been that ridiculous stairmaster yesterday. Evil machine.

  • 2 mile run (broken into 5 min. run/2 min walk segments)
  • 20 minute upper body strength
  • 10 minute abs

Off to work (on the way ate my fruit/yogurt from the morning) where I had lunch. Leftover asparagus quinoa.

Obsessed with the flavors in this dish.

Still pretty hangry after this, but I tried waiting for my brain to catch up. I finally had some carrots & multiple cups of coffee, which seemed to do the trick. But not for long. Less than 3 hours later I was beyond shaky with hunger (I swear quinoa never keeps me full!). I went crazy trying to satisfy it.

Apple.

Yesterday, I realized my free Starbucks ice cream coupon expired today, so I knew I had to use that now or never! No way was I letting that sucker go to waste πŸ˜‰

I’ve tried the Caramel Macchiato flavor (love) before, so this time I decided to try out Mocha Frappucino.

Check out those swirls!

Tasted remarkably identical to a mocha frappucino (really? Β Never would’ve guessed that from the description). But I still like the caramel macchiato better. Probably because I don’t like chocolate ice cream much. And I’m in love with caramel.

I also found (drumrolls please)Pumpkin Pie yogurt!! No not Stoneyfield, but Vons/Safeway has their own brand of it (Lucerine brand). I’m a huge fan of their light gingerbread flavor. Unfortunately the pumpkin pie is low-fat and not light (so 28 g. of sugar!!), but splurged πŸ˜‰ I’m sure it’s delicious! And $1 raspberries πŸ˜€

8:00 pm and a starving Tay both lead to an easy and quick dinner. (Repeat alert!)

English muffin pizzas.

IMG 5715

Half savory: pizza sauce + ricotta + cheese + turkey pepperoni

Half sweet: pumpkin cream cheese + pumpkin & ricotta mixture + cinnamon

Small dinner, but my snacks from the afternoon finally caught up to me.

Small dinner also = snacking later. Oh who am I kidding, I always have a nightime snack, big dinner or not.

Raspberries drizzled with agave.

And hot cocoa (x2)

All right, I’m out. Finish packing is a must.

What is everyone’s night time snack of choice?
Mine is definitely ice cream. Or dates with PB/AB. And I have hot chocolate every. Single. Night. Β Yummm.
