So I did end up ducking out of spin a little early yesterday. Even on low resistance, I could feel my lower knee twinge a bit. I could’ve pushed through, but knew that would not have been a good choice.
Total: 35 minutes spinning; 6.5 miles (according to the timer)
I was bummed I couldn’t work harder. I was dripping sweat, but my legs didn’t have that weak burn feeling afterwards. Y’know?
I finished off with 35 minutes of ab work & a teeny bit of “butt work” haha. Since I’ve been doing less cardio, I’ve been trying to do more strength (upper body, abs, and only a teeny bit of lower body since most lower body strength bugs my knee). My problem is, I’m getting bored of my same old routine!! So Question: What do you all do for ab work?? Recommendations?
I’ve been doing lots of work on the stability balls, different planks, different forms of sit-ups, etc. Totaling about 30 mins per session. But I’m definitely getting bored!
Today I have work 12-4, and then another babysitting job 4:30-6:30. So I’ll hopefully get some good studying in while the kids are napping and/or doing their homework!
This morning’s eats were oats!
- Trader Joe’s muligrain oatmeal
- Almond milk
- Cinnamon & maple syrup
Mixed & topped of with:
- Gobs & gobs of peanut butter
- Kashi cocoa granola
- Crushed PB puffins
And I may or may not have had a chocolate chip cookie on the side 🙂
Oh and the other night when we went for frozen yogurt, we stopped in this A-mazing candy store (seriously…it’s dreamland). And I put together a little gift basket thing for my brother’s graduation. He’s going off to play baseball at U Penn!!
So I got him every type of baseball related candy they had in the store. Plus a “Grow your own sister” (in case he misses me!), a couple poker candies (he’s really into poker) and a couple inside joke things (the Buddha mints & Orange soda candy). He better appreciate!
Well my knee killed all day long yesterday, so I’m skipping my planned gym trip this morning, and heading into work earlier so I can stop and walk along the beach on my way.
